in the princip it is an w12 because there are 2 vr6's in it ... the audi and vw w12 engines are just 2 vr6's on one crankshaft ... in this there are 2 .. who cares about that?
an original w12 is 4 zylinders in a row x 3 on one crankshaft |

hey man . love the job. somehow got the feeling the most difficult in that work was to find the time to take all those photos:-)) dont know how you managed to connect them together so you can change gears at the same time, well done man, respect! not sure what is the fuss about name v6 w12, o for god sake, who cares... it is just a name. but true is that passat w8 has got 2 times vr4 engines connected together so vr6 x2 = w12 |

My friend gives it name W12 because it's twin V6 ( V+V , 6+6) and that was a joke.

In my opinion this is still 'just' a car with two V6 engines. In fact, a W12 is an engine with just one crankshaft. And when you look at it from the front (and have some fantasy), you'll see that the cylinders will form a W. But still, this is one sick Lupo that's for sure! Kudos to the guys who have made this. |
